Announcements! :) PDF Print E-mail

I've been pretty busy these past few weeks with all of our upcoming events, but I know they are going to be really fun!  :)

We are going to Cosmic Christian Bowling THIS Sunday (March 14th) at the Kingman Lanes from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.  Be sure to bring $5.00 to bowl!

The Sr High UMYF & sponsors will be headed to The Slope on Sunday following church to get fitted for our ski gear - please be at the church ready to go by Noon.

YCW is definitely a go!  Don't forget the parent's meeting and potluck on March 21st!  Be sure to bring your deposit of $25.00 to reserve your place on the bus.  We will leave Friday morning around 9 and be back to KUMC around 11:00 pm Sunday night.

Jr. High UMYF has started a group of lessons about 'The Christian Life' - which includes sections like God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, Our Need & Our Response, and Fruit of the Spirit.  We have just started this book and the lessons have been very fulfilling and interesting!  Each lessons comes with a 'Reflection' devotional to use during the week as well.

Sr. High UMYF has also just started a group of lessons about 'The Life of Jesus' which takes an in-depth look at the birth, teachings, life, and death of Jesus.  It gives us a chance to really reflect on the amazing life of Jesus Christ, his ministry, and what it means to us now.

The Middle School Youth Group is off to a roaring start for this year.  We are spending time learning about each other, and how we should treat each other.  Our motto is (to borrow a line from the Three Musketeers) "One for all and all for One"!  Our theme of relationships starts with our relationship with God and includes our relationships with our friends and families.  If you're in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade come join us every other Sunday from 5 till 6:30.

On Saturday, October 31, we are having a Halloween costume party in which we have invited the other community youth groups to

participate.  It should be great fun for our Christian Youth, and an

alternative to any possible mischievous activities.

Finally, cookie dough sales will start in late October.  Watch for your youthful cookie dough salesman to invite you to join in our fundraiser!

We kicked off our year with great food and fun

at El Dos de Oros on Sunday, August 30th!

7 youth and 5 leaders shared ideas for the

year and played a guessing game to learn

personal information about each other.

We will be meeting every other week including

October 11 and October 25.  We meet at

6:15pm in the KUMC Parlor.  We have

plenty of room for everyone in High School who wants to have a great time learning about

themselves and our Sr High Family.

Our theme this year is Relationships.   This family is here for you.  Come see what we are all about!
