August 29th: UMYF OFFICIALLY Starts!
- Jr High : Regular Meeting 5:00 - 6:00  ((NOTE: TIME CHANGE)) - we're meeting upstairs in the Sr High Room
- Sr High : Regular Meeting  6:15 - 7:15 - we're meeting upstairs in the Sr High Room and it's important that you come to this meeting, we'll be discussing Mission Trip 2011 stuff.

 

September 5th:
- Jr High : Regular Meeting   5:00 - 6:00
- Sr High : Regular Meeting 6:15 - 7:15

 

September 12th:
- Jr High : Food Bank Scavenger Hunt!  5:00 - 6:00
- Sr High : Food Bank Scavenger Hunt!  6:15 - 7:15

 

September 19th:
- Jr High : Regular Meeting
- Sr High : Cooks Day Out/Teacher Appreciation Lunch - IF YOU WANT TO COME ON THE MISSION TRIP YOU MUST HELP WITH THIS EVENT.

 

September 26th:
- Jr High : Game Night  5:00 - 6:00
- Sr High : Game Night 6:15 - 7:15

Holy cow!  Can you believe that it is August already?  This summer has flown by!


Here is the August UMYF Schedule:

August 7th (SATURDAY): Laser Quest/Ice Cream in Wichita! 
Meet at the church at 2:00 to head into town, play a game of Laser Quest, and grab some ice cream.  Be sure to bring around $10.00 and a friend.

August 7th (SATURDAY): KSAP High School Fun Night!
All KHS students (including new freshman) are invited to the high school for a fun free night of activities. It's from 8:00 to 11:00 PM.

August 13th-14th: Kinda Kreepy Kamp-Out!
We'll say hello to the new 6th graders and say goodbye to the new freshman at a camp out.  And it's Friday the 13th! More information about this will be coming soon.

August 18th: First Day of School

August 22nd: Promotion Sunday
We're going to recognize our youth as they move up grades/Sunday School classes.

August 22nd: Fall Kick-Off Party
Time to swim, hang out, and eat at the Keeny's in our last fun 'summer' event.

JR HIGH - 2:00 - 4:00  (popsicles and kool aide provided)

SR HIGH - 5:00 to 7:00 (we're grilling out! so come hungry!)

We changed the times around, so Junior High will go from 5:00 - 6:00 and Senior High will be from 6:15 - 7:15.  We will play some games, have some snacks, and welcome fall (and cooler weather!).

Two VERY important announcements:

The Junior High Boys Bible Study (B&B) will begin Wednesday, June 23rd - 7:00 PM at the Keeny house.
The Junior High Girls Bible Study will begin Wednesday, June 30th - 7:30 PM at the Williams house.

 
Here is the UMYF Schedule for July! 
July 4 - NO SUNDAY SCHOOL/NO UMYF.

July 7 - B&B study - 7:00 PM.  Jr High Girls - 7:30 PM. Sr High - 8:30 PM

July 11 - HS/MS Sunday School - Sarah's place - 9:30 AM.  
WATER WAR!  Meet at the church at 2:30 for an all out WATER WAR! (All ages, all grades)

July 14 - B&B study - 7:00 PM.  Jr High Girls - 7:30 PM. Sr High - 8:30 PM

July 15 - FREE DINNER at the church!  It's an appreciation dinner for all of the youth!  Dinner starts promptly at 6:30 PM. 

July 16 - 17 - Senior High Camping Trip
 
July 18 - Sunday School at the Langleys. 

July 19 - 23 - VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!

July 21 - B&B study - 7:00 PM. Jr High Girls - 7:30 PM. Sr High - 8:30 PM 

July 25 - Sunday School at the Branstetters.  Swimming Party at the Kingman Pool

It's SUMMER TIME!

June Sunday School Schedule:
(if you need a ride, directions, or anything else call or text Sarah!) Each week starts at 9:20 AM.
June 6th - Keeny home
June 13th - Dixon home
June 20th - Wollen home
June 27th - LeRoux home  ((This is a change from the previous schedule))

UMYF Schedule:
June 5th - KUMC Garage Sale!  Hang out at the church to help man tables, sort & organize, and work the concession stand.  Times TBA
June 6th - 12th - Sarah will be at Camp Horizons!
June 13th - Senior High Trip to All-Star Sports.  Meet at the church at 2:00 PM.
June 18th - Fellowship Movie Night at KUMC. We'll be watching the movie, 'The Retrievers' at 7:00 PM.
June 20th - Junior High Trip to All-Star Sports.  Meet at the church at 2:00 PM.
June 28th - Junior High Ice Cream Social/Game Night at the church from 4:00 to 5:30 PM.
Senior High Ice Cream Social/Game Night at the church starting at 6:00 PM.

 

Don't forget about our 'Family Groups!'
Senior High Family Group will be Wednesdays at 8:30 PM at Sarah's house.  We'll be looking at 'Crazy Love' by Francis Chan.
Junior High Boys Family Group will be at the home of the Keenys, week date and time coming soon.
Junior High Girls Family Group will be at the home of Michel Williams, week date and time also coming soon.

Here it is again - the May UMYF calendar!  
Please note that I had to make some scheduling changes so it will be different from the paper schedule I sent home.  This is the schedule that we will be using.

May 2 -
 - Junior High : Mission/Outreach Activity : We will work together to do a mission activity for the Kingman community.  Actual time & location TBA.
 - Senior High : Game Night  (change from the original schedule) : We'll be playing 360, board games, and hanging out at KUMC.

May 9 -
 - Junior High : Regular Meeting : Session 5 in 'The Christian Life - Our Need'
 - Senior High : Mission/Outreach Activity (change from the original schedule) : Mission activity in the Kingman community - exact time and place TBA.


May 16 -
 - Junior High : Game Day : Come play kickball, softball, volleyball, soccer, rodeo golf, and other fun games at the Kingman park. Time TBA.
 - Senior High : Regular Meeting : Session 5 in 'The Life of Jesus - The Temptation in the Wilderness'.  And there will be a special treat for the Seniors.

May 23 -
 - Junior High : Help to serve the Graduation Breakfast in the morning.  THERE WILL BE NO UMYF THAT NIGHT.
 - Senior High : Graduation!

May 28-29 -
 - All City Lock-in! : This lock-in is open to all students in Kingman in 6th-12th grade who want to come have fun, play crazy games, worship, and learn about God. We'll be traveling all over the city, to all different places, including bowling!  It's open to 75 students right now, so get your registration form ASAP! It's the 'Great Escape 2010!'
